RTS: McGill Management International Case Competition 2013 | Second place in the world competition

The McGill Management International Case Competition (MMICC) is a world-class competition with a focus on globalization, innovation and multidisciplinary thinking. Founded in 2001, the competition has hosted over 20 countries so far. Organized in close collaboration with the Montreal business community, the MMICC is one of McGill University’s most prestigious events and the largest event hosted by students at the Desautels Faculty of Management in Montreal.

This year, members of the Case Study Club won second place in a case study competition in Montreal in a competition of 12 teams from around the world. They solved the case study of the Greenlite Lighting Corporation. The task of the case study was to design the improvement of business strategy with the proposal of innovations, modification of the product portfolio, strengthening the position in the existing market with financial effects. The first place was won by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, the second place went to the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, while the students attending Thammasat University from Thailand won the third place.
